Pallavi Kiragi

Multidisciplinary Designer. Artist.

As a human-centered practitioner, I am always looking to embrace transdisciplinary design values and actions through experimentation of processes and mediums. Familiarize with trends and assess their relevance to the user's definition and experience via perception and thought process. I am passionate about tangible interactions, spatial design, and data-driven outcomes. My other form of creative expression is music production, specifically sound design and synthesis applied to film scoring and electronic music.

This study aimed to merge new media creation with prototyping tools to develop micro-outputs addressing common airport challenges. Recognizing the learning curves in prototyping and system ideation, the approach focuses on Conceptual Prototyping—testing purposeful interactions within complex systems. This exploration reflects my philosophy of experimenting with redundant systems, using the complexity of airports as an opportunity for creative disruption.

Using Automobiles as a foundational concept, approaches such extended reality (XR) in invitation cards enhancing the experience by providing a preview of the Auto Car exhibition and holographic elements in showcase settings offer an immersive and informative experience by presenting individual cars in 3D.

Data Visualization, Multimedia, Coding

A sonic data visualization of active cases and mortality rates across India's states and union territories from the onset of COVID-19 to March 2022, created using OSC and sound synthesis. This project was featured in the Museum of Contemporary Digital Arts Summer Show 2022.

Space & UX Design,  Material prototype

Exploring proxemics for crowd & space optimization in open centers, ensuring distancing and efficient flow—crucial for pandemic-responsive design. Solutions include beacon technology, redesigned social spaces, barricade systems, and optimized kiosks, enhancing safety and operational efficiency.
