Pallavi Kiragi

Multidisciplinary Designer. Artist.

As a human-centered practitioner, I am always looking to embrace transdisciplinary design values and actions through experimentation of processes and mediums. Familiarize with trends and assess their relevance to the user's definition and experience via perception and thought process. I am passionate about tangible interactions, spatial design, and data-driven outcomes. My other form of creative expression is music production, specifically sound design and synthesis applied to film scoring and electronic music.

AutoExpo XR Invitation

Tools: Unity, Lego, Illustrator, Material Prototype,
This project enhances traditional invitation cards using Extended Reality to create an immersive preview of the AutoCar Exhibition. By integrating Augmented Reality (AR), recipients can experience a 3D projection of the event space, showcasing the predicted layout with cars, banners, and consultants.

Designed for car enthusiasts, dealers, auto journalists, and industry representatives, this interactive invitation revives the excitement of attending exhibitions and museum showcases. The AR experience, accessible on mobile and tablet, offers a dynamic sneak peek, building anticipation before the event.

Prototyping and Layout

Lego prototyping and digital top view arrangement of the AR preview to visualize layout design and placement and its role.

User Journey on the Experience

Journey mapping the Interaction behavior experience of the invitation car. Alignment correction, device to use and placement of the card are key steps in the journey.

Invitation Card Design

Elements of an Invitation Card in context to an AutoCar exhibition. The front cover includes the highlighted car, events timeline, date-day-time-location, and simulation marker. Unity must require sufficient tracker markers to track the simulation in real-time. The 3D objects used were car brands(fbx files), posters(jpeg files), people animations (design and animation from Mixiamo), and structured furniture to define space queries.

How would a flat experience like an invitation card come alive with 3D elements that are not only informative but a visual preview of the simulated exhibition to get a better structural understanding and meandering through stalls?

Recorded AR experience

Recorded Videos of the simulation through mobile by exporting the unity project to an apk file. One video is the highlighted car in action through a looped background. The other is a preview layout of the exhibition's structure with stalls, booths, cars, and people.
